Refer the following instructions.
- Your remote comes paired with your Set-Top-Box. If it does not work, you need to pair your remote.
- Make sure the remote batteries (AA) are installed and your TV and cable receiver Set-Top-Box are powered on. Also, set the TV input to correspond with your Set-Top-Box. Your receiver and remote can be paired to use radio frequency (RF), which will allow you to use the remote normally even if your receiver is placed out of view.
To pair your remote and receiver:
- Press MENU on the remote.
- Select "Settings & Support" from the left menu shown on your TV.
- Select "Support" from the left menu.
- Select "Remote Control" from the center tiles.
- Select "RF Pair New Remote" from the center tiles and follow the TV on-screen instructions.

Your product supports an automatic discovery and set-up flow powered by QuickSet in your Set-Top-Box for most devices. Follow the instructions explained in FAQ: "How do I start using my remote (out of the box)?"
The Spectrum STB will auto-detect your TV. If auto-detect fails, a CodeFinder tool powered by QuickSet will assist in the setup process.
To setup most popular TV brands:
- Turn on the TV you want to program.
- Simultaneously press and hold the "MENU" and "OK" keys on the remote until the INPUT key blinks twice.
- Press and release the "TV POWER" key once.
- To setup Popular Brand TV: Find your TV brand below and note the digit that relates to your TV brand. Press and hold down the appropriate digit key:

The Spectrum Set-Top-Box will auto-detect your audio system. If your audio system not fully detected, a CodeFinder tool powered by QuickSet will assist in the setup process.

This remote supports Volume Lock feature. In order to program the Volume Lock, press and hold MENU and OK keys until the INPUT key blinks twice, and follow the instructions to assign volume controls:
- To assign volume controls to the TV, press the VOLUME UP key.
- To assign volume controls to the Audio device, press the VOLUME DOWN key.
- To assign volume controls to the Spectrum Cable Box, press MUTE.
The remote needs to be programmed in order to control your equipment. Follow the instructions in the SETUP section of this site to program the remote.
To control your equipment, be sure to do the following:
- Point the remote at the equipment when using it, making sure that there is a clear line of sight.
- The LED on the remote should blink with each keypress. If not, replace the batteries.
- The remote needs to be programmed in order to control your equipment. Follow the instructions in the setup section of this site to program the remote.
This remote uses AA size batteries.
While Heavy Duty batteries will work, alkaline batteries are recommended and will have much longer battery life.
Five blinks means that your batteries are low and need to be replaced soon.
